Happy 2012 to each and all! Hope the count down to 2012 was awesome and crazy fun!

I spent my last day of 2011 in the office, again. It has always been the same case ever since I started out on a full time job 7 years ago. Yes, for all 7 new year’s eve, I spent either part of it if not the whole day in the office clearing up some work, or cleaning up my desk.

I met Larry in town in the evening for shopping. Was out to get New Year’s gifts for a few friends and him. Had wrecked my head for the whole of December thinking of what to get to him, and in the end have decided to stick to the same as previous year.

Met up with Daniel at around 11pm at Jurong Point. We watched Sherlock Homes movie. It was a quite countdown to 2012 for me. No crazy party this year, no drunk night or hang over the next day.

Headed over to Victoria pub the following day. Met up with Amy, Gina and Max. Had alot that night and met new friends at the pub.

Went back to the office the next day to work even though it was a public holiday. Was helping my boss to do payroll. And met up with Amy, Agnes and Laynah for dinnerat Kuishinbo after that.

Damn, i gained close to 6kg during this x’mas and new year festives. Been meeting friends having too much good food and drinks. Chinese New Year is coming very soon! OMG.

5th Jan: I saw something that I shouldn’t have seen. I don’t know if it is a blessing in disguise for me so that I will wake up from this dream forever, or it is a knife sent to stab right into my heart. I cried, but not as hard as my last break up with the ex-boyfriend.

Till now, I’m still questioning on the statement. Sigh.

Let’s not think too much about it. I just wanna concentrate on my work and just move along.

Let’s talk about health. For a month, I was suffering fromt the symptoms of slipped disc. Had difficulty moving etc.

Mattress problem. and also, i suspect that’s cos i put on weight hence the condition got worse in the past two weeks. My chiro said time for me to do MRI. change of mattress and doing another MRI need alot of $$.

I’m slowly getting better each day except at times I will have sharp pain and won’t be able to move due to numbness or zero strength in either of the leg. Let’s hope i get better by end of Feb.

I haven’t really set any resolutions for 2012. I did maybe. But they are more like constant reminders of not to repeat the same mistakes that were made in 2011.

Oh yeah, no more binge drinking in 2012. I really hate puking my bile juice out. That’s for sure.

So meanwhile, I hope you maintain the hype and positivity that you had during the first day of new year through the end of the year.

Washed and cooked the short grain rice.

Did the egg ommelette.

Prepared the alfafa sprouts.

Finished at about 3.30am.

Woke up today and saw the left over rice in the pot. Decided not to waste it and carried on wrapping some roll. Everything was done less than 15 mins! I’m in love with making sushi now! Hahaha

As usual, we met up at MC’s place. The group has gotten smaller. From the size of 8 girls, it has shrunk to the size of 4 girls. This time round, we had Yuying, Laynah, myself and MC’s place. We had steamboat this time round, unlike last year’s “christmas theme”. MC invited Jerilyn, who happened to be my primary schoolmate.

Steamboat fiesta was carried out at the empty space by the staircase which was like one of the national day. We met at around 4.30pm at Jurong Point to do the marketing. While waiting for both Laynah and Jerilyn, we went to “Remember To Eat (记得吃)” for some dessert. I must say, the standard has dropped. As I wasn’t feeling quite well with the stomach, I had a hot dessert (something for a change!). I had the peanut paste, MC had yam paste with ginko (tasted weird ) while YY had her usual mango-y stuff. We order chestut cake and also a nonya dumpling.

Groccery shopping at NTUC Extra on that day was quite fun, despite the crowd. This time round, we had salmon for steamboat / BBQ. Note to buy more golden mushroom and fillet for next round. We finished up the two packs of shabu-shabu. We had scallops for BBQ also. We bought one bottle of white and another of red wine. I ended up having most of the Merlot as the girls didn’t like it that much. We got the white cos Laynah wanted white. It was a good choice by the way.

Halfway through the steamboat /bbq dinner, YY asked if we wanna watch Mission Impossible 4. Hahaha, we went for the movie! It was a good show! Kenny drove us there as the show timing was at 12.55am. It was raining when we were ready to set off.

So that’s pretty much about it…

(I actually gotten tired of typing now… but i still have a christmas day)

Had Steamboat (again!) at Henry. But his is pure steamboat style with no bbq. I prefer with BBQ. (teehee). Henry picked me up at my place. Amy was in his car already. She went earlier to drop her brownies before heading out to NTUC Extra (yes again!) to do marketing.

Crazy Henry bought alot of vegetables! OMG. I prefer YY and MC’s steamboat style.

Yi Yong, Cheng Soon, Amy, Agnes, Tien Yew, Henry and myself showed up. Mangfei joined us past midnight. Henry had two of his friends who joined us too. We did gift exchange. Tien Yew got my present which I think he is very happy with. I got Henry’s present which was a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates (which i hate receiving btw!). I opened it up and shared with everybody. One less itme to brig home. At the later part, we played Taboo and also watched TV programme once in a while. Towards the end, we played shooters games. We ended the “party” at 3.30am.

Ok done recording! I hate blogging in details.

So dear you, why are you such a busybody?

Nothing was needed from me in actual fact. But I felt like I’ve asked him a very stupid questio. If I haven’t been such a busybody, I wouldn’t have took the gesture to call and ask. I looked stupid.

Resolution No. 1 for 2012: Mind you own business, so that you won’t look stupid.

Sometimes, I don’t even know why did I ever fall for you.

Stayed home the whole Sunday to rest at home. Went to attend a dinner function with my mother in the evening and headed home to sleep. I slept at 11pm and woke up this morning at 4am. I had problem getting back into sleep. Tossed and turned in the bed, thought through alot of stuffs.

Somehow felt that today won’t be a good day. And indeed, it isn’t a good day.

There’s so much that I wanna blog about.. but i’m just too tired.

I’m signing off… let’s hope things get better.

Sometimes I wish I’m that blonde who knows nothing but to look cheerful and pretty all the time.

Sometimes I wish I could just let go and forget about everything, just like how the night fades itself away into daylight and reappear again.

Sometimes I wish I am not that strongwilled girl who bottled everything to herself for so long.

I really hate this right now.
